Have you been to Kenzo? If not, allow me to give you the tl;dr of this review: Kenzo is an Asian fusion restaurant in Chambersburg that remains one of the most reliable restaurants in the area. They cover the whole range from sushi to tempura to curry, and they do it all well. The cost is also manageable, especially when you consider that some entrees may last for two or even three meals depending on how much you eat.
Chicken pad thai, shrimp tempura, and a salad. The pad thai was only around $13, and it lasted for two more meals! |
The restaurant just reopened for dining in, so the posse and I swooped in for a bite from the old favorite. Because of that, it’s fresh in my mind just how much of the menu I have left to explore.
Most of the time I get sushi (Kenzo remains the best sushi place I have been to). If you want to do the same, I recommend that you stick with the chef special rolls. They’re more expensive, but they also tend to be bigger, and I always enjoy complexity they provide. Remember that when you eat sushi, it is good to eat a piece of ginger in between every piece of sushi. The ginger cleanses your palate so that the next bite will taste as good as the first.

I will admit that I have less experience with the other dishes. When I go with my family, I always stea‑ *cough* ask nicely for a few pieces of their food, and everything I’ve tried gets my seal of approval. I want to mention the tempura in particular, since it’s one of my favorites. In my opinion, it’s best as fresh as possible. That is actually one of my favorite things about dining in to Kenzo: you can eat the tempura at its peak of deliciousness.

Kenzo is a well known restaurant on our campus, and for good
reason. If you’re reading this and you haven’t ever gone, I encourage you to
try it out. There is enough variety on the menu for most tastes, and the
quality is always high. If you have gone to Kenzo, I hope this review
gave a little bit of insight on how to enjoy it most.
As always, I am kind of hungry now.
