Howdy y'all, my name is Shianne and I am a co-chair for the Honors Commuter committee. I am a sophomore middle-level education major that is dual certifying in math and social studies. I also have a minor in psychology. The most important things to know about me is that I am a huge animal enthusiast, I love being in the outdoors, and I am a truly devoted Netflix binger (I'm currently watching Vampire Diaries). I am a fellow commuter that lives in Greencastle, PA with my family because I have no money. There are many perks of still living at home, such as getting to see my two lovely doggies, Cookie and Hazel, every day when I come home from school and having free food to come home to. I am also the oldest of four, so I guess it's okay seeing my siblings on a everyday basis too. An interesting tidbit about myself is that I have been involved with the martial arts for around eight years. I am an assistant instructor at my local karate studio, Thompson's Karate, and I have my second degree black belt in Tae Kwan Do. Karate is a huge passion of mine and I intend to continue pursuing this passion throughout my college years. I look forward to all of you that decide to read our blog for some cool facts about our lovely college town of Shippensburg. College can be stressful and overwhelming at times, but it can also be exciting and thrilling, and we hope that as the commuter committee we can help you see the fun enjoyable side of college. :)
