Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! <3 In honor of this holiday, I am posting my romance playlist called “Love Never Felt So Good.” I named it after Michael Jackson’s song (one of my favorites on the playlist) which is the first track featured. In addition, I want to briefly discuss the evolution of this genre. As I have been compiling this playlist, I have noticed a bulk of the tracks date back to the 50s-60s era. It seems as though modern music fails to produce that suave touch like the classics. The only present artists I have found thus far to wander somewhat close to the immaculate vibes of the classics include John Legend, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, James Arthur, and Michael Bublé. Has this genre and 50s/60s style faded over the years and morphed into modern pop music? I just cannot find classy love songs anymore. Are these artists the next wave of Frank Sinatras? Comment any thoughts on the matter or artist suggestions!
*Side note* I chose this photo for the playlist cover because I remember receiving these lollipops all the time during our Valentine’s card exchanges at school. Did everyone else get these too? Those were good times.

DeleteDude, yes. Those lollipops were an elementary school STAPLE. And I agree, classy love songs are of a forgotten era, but at least we have some decent / lovably cringe '90s-'00s acoustic jams (You And Me by Lifehouse, I'm Yours by Jason Mraz, and of course the legendary Beautiful Soul by Jesse McCartney).
